Will Nolan has been the subject of intense scrutiny recently, certainly regarding his personal life, post-separation from most recent wife Katherine Deaton and his dating life since.

But even as far back as 1989's Heathers, his string of high-profile relationships -including an engagement to Dawn Danner and marriage and divorce with Erga McKeon - have all resulted in huge speculation from the tabloids.

Reflecting on this never-ending intrigue into his life in a new interview, Nolan said it has not declined over time.

"I'm just trash mag fodder," he said. "Because of my disaster of a personal life, most likely." he continued laughing.

Need we remind you of those pictures of Deaton and Nolan shortly after his separation from McKeon, the picture of McKeon laughing on the front page of the New York Post after his separation from Deaton was announced or the Team Deaton vs Team McKeon t-shirts that were banded around at the time.

The 53-year-old laughed and admitted that he was a 'little disgruntled' to hear that.

Nolan alluded to the tabloid gossip that still plagues him during his Golden Globes appearance earlier this year:

"I wanted to bring my mom but I couldn't because any woman I stand next to they say I'm dating and it would just be awkward." he said to laughter - including from McKeon who could be seen in plain shot smiling as she was friendly towards her former husband.
