What is your greatest fear?
Giant spiders.

Which living person do you admire and why?
My grandmother. Talking to her, you wouldn't know if she lost a limb or won the grand lottery. She's very balanced and stoic.

One or two bits of jewelry from my father.

What's your favorite word?
Gaggle.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A footballer. My grandad, Tim McCarthy, made his name as a coach and was a good man. We were tight as anything; he used to give me five euros a goal, then I was getting too many so he gave me five euros a hat-trick. I played for a couple teams, yeah.

To travel around Europe in my caravan.

Coronation Street.

What's your most unappealing habit?
Smoking.

What is your favorite smell?
Tobacco.

If you could bring something extinct back to life, what would you choose?
Oasis.

What do you owe your parents?
Everything, especially my mam who gave me countless lifts. There's no way I could do what I've been doing without their support.

What is the greatest love of your life?
Cork City FC.

What does love feel like?
A bit one way when you support Cork.

Which phrase or words do you overuse?
Ask me bollocks.

If you could go back in time, where would you go?
I'd go as far back as possible, just to have a look.

What do you consider your proudest achievment?
Not many actors are from where I'm from. I'm pretty proud of that one.

What makes you unhappy?
My football team losing.

How would you like to be remembered?
A sound lad.

What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
Not to think of the past, not to think of the future, just here and now.

Tell us a joke.
What do you call a French person wearing flip flops? A Phillipe Phillop.
